Feature Extraction of Iris Eye Image Processing To Detect Excess Cholesterol

Abstract

Iris (rainbow film) has specific advantages, which can record all organ conditions, and psychological conditions. Recording footage related to levels of intensity of alteration or irregularities of organs caused by systematic disorders are recorded systematically and patterned on the iris of the eye and its surroundings. This can be a practical guide to detect various diseases, especially those that are latent / hidden, or that are accumulative. Diseases like this usually do not show specific symptoms Based on the above, this Final Project is trying to apply image processing to detect excess cholesterol. In this test, the iris recognition of the eye is a way of identifying the human eye based on the pattern shape of the iris. One identification of body disorders that can be recognized through the iris of the eye is the identification of cholesterol. The sufferers of high cholesterol, on the inside edge of the cornea of ​​his eyes found a circle of white ring-shaped fog. Tests performed using cholesterol excess detection application using Matlab 7.8 software with thresholding method. Result obtained from total of patient 22, data obtained in accordance with laboratory examination of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital as many as 20 patients declared fit and 2 more patient is not appropriate because of improper image acquisition, and bad initial processing cause system not able to process image and an image recognition error occurs. So the percentage of app-testing compliance with laboratory testing is 90%.
