Purpose of the study:
The use of additional expert criteria in the diagnosis of sudden death by iridodiagnostic methods.
Materials and methods:
We used 126 sectional cases died of various diseases, and as a control group we used 33 sectional cases with severe craniocerebral injuries.
We used iridodiagnostic methods of investigation, as well as forensic chemical, medico-criminalistic and forensic histological methods.
The results of the study:
Showed that radial iris type is more frequent in the corpses of persons who died suddenly due to cardiovascular diseases: coronary heart disease (36,8%), myocardial infarction (23,7%), hypertension, atherosclerosis (32,6%).
Conclusions:
In forensic medical expertise in determining the main cause of sudden death the methods of iridodiagnostics are one of the main methods of diagnostics as this method helps to increase objectivity and evidentiary value of the forensic medical conclusions
