The Kirsch-Laplacian edge detection algorithm for predicting iris-based desease
I. Introduction
Currently we have experienced a sudden change in the future paradigm surrounding the health care R&D such as the Precision medicine with the fourth industrial revolution based on ICT convergence and the advancement of information technology and the enhancement of big data processing technologies makes many fields that were not possible in early computing capacity applicable to various areas. Biometric technology is handled by processing the signals obtained using a video input device and the physical characteristics which every individual has is classified as patterns. Biometric technology, after processing the image using the input device, classifies and recognizes the individual physical characteristics of the signals obtained as pattern. The classified patterns are stored in a database and the secure algorithm using them is widely utilized [1]. However, in Oriental medicine iris represents a signal associated with a person’s body. In other words, as the information required for diagnosis can be obtained using the signal appearing in the iris, Diagnostic Expert System Based on this information is very important [2], [3]. Iris has its own characteristics that we can predict the changes that occur in the human body through the course of the change in pupil size. Therefore, through the image of the iris taken at regular intervals the system development which can predict the changes in the body and assist to diagnose would be a necessary system for modern people, causing a second, third disease onset with the exposure of many medical devices and drugs for disease diagnosis [2], [4]. This paper is composed as follows. Chapter 2 explains the Iris Diagnostics and Iridology Disease Signals as related researches. Chapter 3 describes the iris diagnosis based on iris recognition algorithm using a smart device proposed in this paper, and Chapter 4 tests and evaluates it. Finally, Chapter 5 concludes the result of this paper and describes a future study.
